Cloth Diaper Info Overload
Man oh man. My head is spinning.
When I first got pregnant in Oct 2009, Joe and I made the decision to cloth diaper. We were both raised wearing them and we figured, why not? The thought of diapers staying in landfills forever and ever also didn’t appeal to me, so cloth diapers it was. But then I miscarried, and I never got to research it.
Fast forward to now. We are a little over halfway...

My stats from the past week:
Symptoms: muscle cramps in the my abdominal area, not unlike the occasional side aches I used to get when I used to run. Oh, and this has been happening in the last few weeks—heartburn. Tums and I are very good friends right now.
Cravings: STILL tacos. In fact, I had some for lunch today. YUM YUM YUM.
Food Aversions: None. I’m getting rid of this section...

We've got movement!
I think I may have been feeling little flutters last week, but I wasn’t sure so I didn’t get too excited. But yesterday this little girl gave me a nice big nudge that it was unmistakable! I can feel her! It’s only happened a few times but every time it does, I hold my breath and just try to process it. It’s so weird and cool.

That right there is the beauty* Joe is getting me for Valentine’s Day. I know I said earlier that we really don’t too much on Valentine’s Day, and we don’t. But since Christmas just passed and my birthday’s not ‘til August, Valentine’s was the closest “holiday” I could find.

Weekend, Valentine's Day, and 19 weeks!
I had the most wonderful weekend. Friday night was yummy tacos, a virgin margarita, and fits of uncontrollable laughing with 2 of my girlfriends. I needed one of those evenings! Then Saturday, another girlfriend and I drove to the Northern California coast, stopping at a couple of little towns to check out their thrift stores (and, wouldn’t you know it—eat some tacos). It seems I have caught the crafting bug. I’ve been wanting to pick up a craft in the past year, but this week I just have this overwhelming desire to create something. I was talking to Joe about this last night and had the following exchange:

Over the weekend, my girlfriend made me a yummy blueberry and banana smoothie and now I’m finding myself craving it. I have a blender at home but it’s not good at all! So now I’m on a hunt for a good blender under $50 so I can make these healthy treats.

Beach Weekend
Joe is having another guy weekend this weekend, which I think spurred my bad mood yesterday. I KNEW I had to plan something for while he was gone because otherwise, I would feel so sorry for myself for being cooped up at home all weekend. It’s a new day, and, wouldn’t you know it, I feel 100% better :) Yesterday it was in the mid-60s, and I felt my angst melt away as I sat outside and soaked up the rays of sunshine I have so missed in the past months.
